The Bookyard - Mac Logic Board Repairs

The BookYard is able to offer a logic board repair service for a range of specific faults. Below is a constantly updated list of repairs that are available to date. If you are unsure whether your logic board conforms to one of these scenarios then please contact us.
This service is offered as a means of restoring faulty logic boards which would otherwise be a write-offs.
Many logic board repairs are very delicate operations and it is usually not possible to tell at the outset
whether the fault being repaired is the only fault.
For these reasons, no guaranty is offered that any submitted board will be able to be repaired and all boards
submitted for repair are done so strictly on the understanding that they may be damaged during the repair attempt.
If a repair is unsuccessfull, a full refund of the repair fee will be issued.
If the initial reported fault is successfully repaired but subsequent testing reveals a secondary fault on the logic board which is not repairable, no refund will be given. All logic board repairs are covered by a three month warranty against re-occurence of the same fault but not against development of any other subsequent fault.
If you wish to book in a repair, purchase the relevant service fee as listed below and send the board to us at the address on our contact page. Boards must be sent in an anti-static bag and in a sturdy box with sufficient padding to protect it. Logic boards will not be accepted if they are sent in any form of envelope.
AVAILABLE REPAIRS
All models : Physically damaged, faulty or disconnected component or connector. We are able to reconnect and/or replace any
component known to need replacing provided that it does not have more than 16 connection, all it's connections are accessible rather than under the component (i.e. BGA) and all the solder pads are still intact on the logic board. If any of the solder pads have been torn off the logic board then there may be no way of re-connecting the component. This repair does not include diagnosis and location of faulty components.
