The iPad mini 5th generation was originally released in 2019 and was a replacement for the iPad mini 4. The iPad mini 5th generation featured a six-core 2.5GHz Apple A12 Bionic SoC with an embedded M12 motion coprocessor equipped with 128KB of L1 cache (64KB instruction + 64KB data) and 8MB of L2 cache, 4GB of LPDDR4X memory and a quad-core Apple GPU. The iPad mini 5th generation could be configured with 64GB or 256GB of flash storage, either Wi-Fi only or Wi-Fi and Cellular connectivity and was available in Space Gray, Silver and Gold finishes.
The iPad mini 5th generation featured a 7.9” LED-backlit widescreen Multi-Touch 2,048x1,536 (326 ppi) Retina display, support for Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac simultaneous dual channel (2.4GHz and 5GHz) networks, Bluetooth 5.0 and multiple networks (region dependant), 3.5mm headphone jack, dual microphones, dual stereo speakers and lightning connector. The iPad mini 5th generation has two cameras a front 7-mega-pixel FaceTime camera capable of 1080p HD video recording up to 30fps, and a rear 8-megapixel camera with support for up to 1080p HD video recording or slo-mo support at 120fps. The iPad mini 5th generation has a built in 19.1Wh rechargeable lithium-polymer battery capable of up to 10 hours of battery life.
