The iPad Air 2 was originally released in 2014 and was sold along side the iPad Air. The iPad Air 2 featured a tri-core 1.5GHz Apple A8X SoC with an embedded M8 motion coprocessor equipped with 128KB of L1 cache (64KB instruction + 64KB data) and 2MB of L2 cache, 2GB of LPDDR3 memory and a eight-core PowerVR GPU. The iPad Air could be configured with 16GB, 32GB, 64GB or 128GB of flash storage, Wi-Fi only or Wi-Fi and Cellular connectivity and was available in Space Gray, Silver and Gold finishes.
The iPad Air 2 featured a 9.7” LED-backlit widescreen Multi-Touch 2,048x1,536 (264 ppi) display, Touch ID integrated into the home button, support for Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac dual channel (2.4GHz and 5GHz) networks, Bluetooth 4.0 and 4G networks (region dependant), 3.5mm headphone jack, dual microphones, dual stereo speakers and lightning connector. The iPad Air 2 has two cameras a front 1.2mega-pixel FaceTime camera capable of 720p HD video recording and a rear 8-megapixel iSight camera with support for 1080p HD video recording at 30fps or slo-mo at 120fps. The iPad Air3 has a built-in 27.3Wh rechargeable lithium-polymer battery capable of up to 10 hours of battery life.
