The iMac G4 17” late 2003 USB 2.0 model was released on September 8th, 2003 and was Apple’s last 17” generation of the iMac G4. The 17” model would be discontinued on July 1st, 2004. This generation of iMac G4 17” featured a 1.25 GHz single core PowerPC 7455 G4 processor, NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 Ultra graphics chip with 64MB of DDR memory and a 17-inch LCD panel with a native resolution of 1,440x900. Due to the design of the display the iMac G4 17” had a horizonal viewing angle of 120 degrees and a vertical viewing angle of 90 degrees. The iMac G4 17” could be configured with either an 80GB or 160GB 7,200rpm 3.5” ATA hard drive, up to 2GB of PC-2700 DDR memory and optional AirPort and Bluetooth functions. This model shipped as standard with a 4x SuperDrive.

The iMac G4 17” featured 3 USB 2.0 ports, 2 FireWire 400 ports, Mini-VGA port for external monitor support, 56k v.92 modem port, 10/100Base-T ethernet port, 3,5mm analog input jack, microphone, 3.5mm analog output jack and 2.5mm Apple Pro Speaker minijack port.

This generation of iMac G4 17” originally shipped with Mac OS X 10.2.7 (Jaguar) with later models shipping with Mac OS X 10.3.1 (Jaguar) the iMac G4 17”” model could run up to Mac OS X 10.5.8 (Leopard).
