The iMac G4 20” USB 2.0 model was released on November 18” 2003 and was Apple’s only 20” variant of the iMac G4. The 20” model would be discontinued on July 1st, 2004. The iMac G4 20” featured a 1.25 GHz single core PowerPC 7455 G4 processor, NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 Ultra graphics chip with 64MB of DDR memory and a 20-inch LCD panel with a native resolution of 1,680x1,050. Due to the design of the display the iMac G4 20” had a horizonal viewing angle of 120 degrees and a vertical viewing angle of 170 degrees. The iMac G4 20” could be configured with either an 80GB or 160GB 7,200rpm 3.5” ATA hard drive, up to 2GB of DDR memory and optional AirPort and Bluetooth functions. This model shipped as standard with a 4x SuperDrive drive.
The iMac G4 20” featured 3 USB 2.0 ports, 2 FireWire 400 ports, Mini-VGA port for external monitor support, 56k v.92 modem port, 10/100Base-T ethernet port, 3,5mm analog input jack, microphone , 3.5mm analog output jack and 2.5mm Apple Pro Speaker minijack port.
The iMac G4 20” originally shipped with Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther) with later models shipping with Mac OS X 10.3.1 (Panther) the iMac G4 20” model could run up to Mac OS X 10.5.8 (Leopard).
