Parts for Apple Late 2004 Early 2002, Original Family

The iMac G4 15” early 2002 model was released on January 7th, 2002 and was Apple’s first-generation iMac G4. This generation of iMac G4 15” featured both a 700Mhz single core PowerPC 7441 G4 processor and a 800Mhz single core PowerPC 7445 G4 processor, NVIDIA GeForce2 MX graphics chip with 32MB of DDR memory and a 15-inch LCD panel with a native resolution of 1,024x768. Due to the design of the display the iMac G4 15” had a horizonal viewing angle of 120 degrees and a vertical viewing angle of 90 degrees. This model could be configured with either a 40GB or 60GB 5,400rpm 3.5” ATA hard drive, a combo drive or 2x SuperDrive. This model could be configured with up to 1GB of PC-133 SDRAM and optional AirPort functions.

The iMac G4 15” featured 3 USB 1.0 ports, 2 FireWire 400 ports, Mini-VGA port for external monitor support, 56k v.90 modem port, 10/100Base-T ethernet port, microphone, 3.5mm analog output jack and 2.5mm Apple Pro Speaker minijack port.

This generation originally shipped with Mac OS 9.2.2 and Mac OS X 10.1.2 (Puma) with later models shipping with 10.1.3, 10.1.4 (Puma) or 10.2, 10.2.3 (Jaguar) and could run up to Mac OS X 10.4.11 (Tiger).
