The iMac G4 15” early 2003 model was released on February 4th, 2003 and was Apple’s second generation iMac G4 15”. The 15” model would be discontinued on September 8th, 2003, little more than 7 months after its release. This generation of iMac G4 15” featured a 800MHz single core PowerPC 7450 G4 processor, NVIDIA GeForce2 MX graphics chip with 32MB of DDR memory and a 15-inch LCD panel with a native resolution of 1,024x768. Due to the design of the display the iMac G4 15” had a horizonal viewing angle of 120 degrees and a vertical viewing angle of 90 degrees. This model shipped as standard with an 60GB 7,200rpm ATA hard drive and a 32x combo drive. This generation could be configured with up to 1GB of PC-133 SDRAM memory and optional AirPort functions.
The iMac G4 15” featured 3 USB 1.0 ports, 2 FireWire 400 ports, Mini-VGA port for external monitor support, 56k v.92 modem port, 10/100Base-T ethernet port, 3,5mm analog input jack, microphone, 3.5mm analog output jack and 2.5mm Apple Pro Speaker minijack port. This generation originally shipped with Mac OS X 10.2.3 (Jaguar) and could run up to Mac OS X 10.4.11 (Tiger).
