The iPod touch 1st generation was originally released in September 2007 and was Apples 5th product line within the iPod range. The iPod touch 1st generation was designed to look like the iPhone 2G which was released earlier the same year, it would be the very first iPod with Wi-Fi support with both safari and YouTube built into the iOS. The iPod touch 1st generation featured a single core 620Mhz Samsung ARM 1176J(F)-S 128MB of LPDDR memory and a PowerVR MBX Lite GPU. The iPod touch 1st generation could be configured with 8GB, 16GB or 32GB of embedded flash storage.
The iPod touch 1st generation featured a 3.5-inch (diagonal) widescreen Multi-Touch 480x320 (163 ppi) display, support for Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, 3.5mm headphone jack, single microphone, single speaker and dock connector. The iPod touch 1st generation is powered by a 580mAh rechargeable lithium ion battery capable of up to 22 hours of audio playback and 5 hours of video playback time.
