Apple Key Caps

Keycaps for all the Unibody MacBook Pro ranges, as well as the late-2008 aluminium Unibody MacBook and the early 2008, late 2009 and mid-2009 ranges of MacBook Air. Not used on the Retina MacBook Pro or later ranges of MacBook Air.

You will need to match the clip design of your keyboard against the illustrations below to confirm the type. Alternatively it can be identified by lifting the bottom edge of a key as shown here. The key type identifies the type of the whole keyboard i.e. if one key is identified as type E, the whole keyboard is type E.

Although these type E keys are mechanically the same as type-E black MacBook keys, they are made of a translucent plastic allowing the keyboard backlighting to show through.
