The iPad 1 was originally released in 2010 and was Apple’s first portable tablet since the Newton MessagePad. The iPad 1 featured a singe-core 1GHz Apple A4 SoC with 64KB of L1 cache (32KB instruction + 32KB data) and 512KB of L2 cache, 256MB of LPDDR memory and a single-core PowerVR GPU. The iPad 1 could be configured with 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of flash storage, Wi-Fi only or Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity.
The iPad 1 also featured a 9.7” LED-backlit widescreen Multi-Touch 1,024x768 (132 ppi) liquid crystal display, support for Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n Bluetooth 2.1 and multiple networks (region dependant), 3.5mm headphone jack, a 30-pin dock connector and a built-in in 25Wh rechargeable lithium-polymer battery capable of up to 10 hours of battery life.
