The MacBook Pro "Core i5" 13-Inch (Mid-2017 Retina Display, Touch Bar, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports) is powered by a 14 nm, 7th Generation "Kaby Lake" Intel "Core i5" or "Core i7" processor (7267U), with dual independent processor "cores" on a single silicon chip, 64 MB of eDRAM embedded on the processor die, and a 4 MB shared level 3 cache.
Compared to its predecessor, this model is effectively identical externally, but has a more advanced processor and architecture as well as a lower introductory price tag.

The RAM is integrated, and can only be specced as 8GB or 16GB at time of purchase, but the SSD can be changed later, although it is a modular chip type SSD specific to this range.
