This is a UK format keyboard and power button for the 2009 - 2011 models of 17" Unibody MacBook Pro. This keyboard cannot be used to replace a US format chassis because the key shapes are different.
The Unibody macbook keyboards are fully removable and easily replaced (unlike the original black/white macbook range). This unit screws into the top case chassis with a number of small philips screws along the entire surface.
Please Note: These keyboards are listed as version 2 because the F3 and F4 key symbols are different but they are fully interchangeable with the Late 2009-2011 models, so are listed separately. If we are out of stock of version 1, this will work perfectly fine, just replace the two keycaps to match your old layout (please be aware that there are different versions of scissor clips that need to be identified if swapping keycaps)
