Hitachi 40GB Travelstar 2.5" internal IDE (ATA) laptop hard drive for all models of iBook and PowerBook G3 & G4. This is a used and fully tested hard drive taken from a recycled iBook or PowerBook. The testing process on this drive involves checking the built-in diagnostics, formatting the disk and cloning a 6GB disk image of a clean instal of OSX 10.4.8 onto it. If the cloning works without abnormal pausing or noise then the drive is used to boot a test machine.
Please note that the pre-loaded version of MacOS X on this disk is to validate testing and if you do not own a legal copy of this operating system for the machine you plan to use this drive in, you should erase the disk before use.
