400MHz processor daughter card for all models of PISMO PowerBook G3. The PISMO PowerBooks can be identified by the FireWire ports which none of the other PowerBook G3's have.
This board contains the processor and both RAM slots. One RAM slot is on the underside and only accessible by removing the processor card. The upper slot is user-accessible. This card is interchangeable with the 500MHz processor card and the logic board for both models is the same.
To function correctly, the heat sink must have a good thermal seal with the processor which can be achieved using
thermal paste available from the tools section.
