Inverter cable, Airport cable, BlueTooth cable and distribution board for the 1.5GHz (Bluetooth 2) & 1.67GHz (1280x854 screen) models of the 15" Aluminium PowerBook G4 (A1106). This cable will not work with the bluetooth 1 version (A1095) of the 1.5GHz, or dual layer Superdrive version (A1138 - 1440x960 screen) of the 1.67GHz PowerBook. The inverter cable powers the backlight inverter board. The wireless distribution board connects the two antenna within the PowerBook lid to the BlueTooth and Airport cards.
If the backlight on your PowerBook is not illuminating but you can see a faint dark image then the inverter cable is a likely culprit. These symptoms can also be caused by a failed backlight tube, a failed inverter board or a faulty logic board.
