This is the iMac Pro ETSI logic board for late 2017 model only. This is the first generation of iMac that used the Intel Xeon range of processors. This logic board has a 3.2GHz 8-Core Xeon W-2140B processor. There are four ram slots located on the rear of the logic board (Non-user accessible.) which can take up to 512GB of PC4-21300 (2666 MHz) DDR4 ECC modules. This logic board has an integrated graphics card, AMD Radeon Pro Vega 64X with 16GB of dedicated HBM2 VRAM. This logic board has two 8.0 GT/s NVMe PCIe x4 ports located on the rear of the logic board for dual SSD's. This is the first range of iMac Pro to have four Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports capable of transferring data up to 40Gbps.
Please note that the SSD’s are paired to the logic board and cannot be replaced with differing SSD’s. If one or both of the SSD’s are removed/replaced the machine will not power up. This listings is for the 1TB option which has dual 512GB SSD’s.
This is a highly static-sensitive device and replacement should not be attempted without suitable experience and anti-static precautions. If you remove the heat sink from the logic board, the seal must be re-made adequately when the new board is fitted to ensure the iMac Pro does not overheat. Thermal paste is available from the Tools section.
